Yup, you read it right—I’m starting a diet. My friend Jen did Atkins and lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks, and I’ve got about that much to lose. I recently read the book Why We Get Fat by Gary Taubes, and it changed the way I view the food I consume … a bit shocking, really! Plus, I’m realising that my constant in-take of pasta, ice cream and cheez-its is perhaps not the best thing in the world for me to be eating.
And so Day 1 of the two week period has come and gone. I’m feeling a bit hungry at the moment, but I know the hunger will subside once my stomach shrinks a bit. Let’s hope so, at least. Anyway, I figured tumblr would be a good place for me to track my meals/weight/moods. We’ll see how this goes.
Weight: 131 lbs
Breakfast: 2 eggs, shredded cheese, 1/2 avocado, tea w/ heavy cream & truvia
Morning Snack: celery w/ Ranch dressing
Lunch: Salad w/ oil & vinegar dressing, tomatoes, beef cubes
Afternoon Snack: green peppers, Atkins chocolate peanut butter bar
Dinner: grilled salmon, asparagus
